Arson attack during concert in Limassol

A car was burned out

POLICE said a 69-year-old man’s car that caught fire during a concert on Wednesday night in Pano Polemidia, Limassol, was likely an arson attack.

People noticed the flames on the parked vehicle at about 9:20pm at Polemidia community park and ran to help using water and fire extinguishers before the car was totally destroyed.

Damages were incurred at the front of the vehicle and the fire was out before the fire service arrived.

At the time, a concert was taking place organised by the Pano Polemida community council.
