Father and sons remanded after drugs bust

Famagusta district court remanded a father and his two sons on Thursday for eight days in connection to possessing illegal substances with intent to supply and cultivating cannabis.

After the drug squad received a tip, they raided the home at Avgorou, Famagusta, arresting the father aged 57 and his two sons aged 27 and 30 on Wednesday.

Inside the house 216 cannabis plants were found with heights ranging from 12cm to 130cm as well as 63 grams of dry cannabis plant material in a glass container.

They are investigated for possessing a class B drug with intent to supply, cultivating and possessing cannabis with intent to supply and conspiracy to commit felony.
