Take to the cinema

By Maria Gregoriou

For all us 30 something women, Take That was the band that we grew up adoring. Of course in the 90s there were five members, then Robbie left and most recently Jason decided to give up the boy band. So five became three, Gary, Mark and Howard and they will be at the O2 Arena tonight in London for a live show.

Why should we care you say, if we are in Cyprus and they will be rocking the stage in the UK. Well, we too can sing along to ‘Could This be the Magic’ and ‘Babe’ at K-Cineplex in Nicosia where there will be a live streaming screened of the show.

We all know that gigs are performed to promote an album right? And this gig is no exception, the album that will be on show will be the one simple named III. This is the band’s seventh studio album and is rightly named as it is the first to represent the band as a trio. The album has been around since November of last year so if you are a Take That fan you most probably know all the lyrics off by heart.

To get a little bit more technical, the boys, or men now if you are a newish fan, will be performing 20 songs and then after the audience won’t stop cheering they will return for two more songs.

If the big screen relights the fire that you felt for the band when you were a teenager, or if after watching the tour you find that you are up all night thinking about it, then you could still catch it live until October, but you will have to book more than just your concert tickets.

Take That Live 2015
