Garage set on fire in Liopetri  

Police are investigating an arson attack at a 42-year-old man’s home in Liopetri, Famagusta, who woke up to the sound of a firecracker and his garage door in flames.

The man reported that at about 2.30am on Monday he heard a loud noise and upon going outside he noticed the fire which he put out himself.

The two cars in the garage were not damaged while Famagusta police continues investigations.
