Bomb threat at Limassol port

Containers at Limassol port

Police were searching the Limassol port after a call claiming there was a bomb.

The call was placed at around 11.15am, police said.

Nothing suspicious has been found so far and authorities have not ruled out the call being linked to an investigation taking place in the port in connection with stolen car parts.

Police were focusing on four containers, which they suspect contain parts from cars that were stolen in Cyprus being shipped overseas.
