Building permits rise 13% on area, 5% on value on housing demand

Building permits in January to April rose an annual 13 per cent in terms of construction area and 5 per cent in terms of project value to 259,397 square meters and €299.3million euros respectively, the statistical service said.

The increase in the first four months of the year resulted on a 26 per cent and 25 per cent rise in both construction area and value of housing projects to 180,346 square meters and €173.3m respectively compared to January to April 2014, Cystat said in a statement on its website today.
