BoC’s ELA drops below €6bln

Bank of Cyprus’s outstanding emergency liquidity assistance to the Central Bank of Cyprus fell for the first time since March 2013 below the €6bn mark, the supervisory authority said.

The sum of “other claims on euro area credit institutions denominated in euro” in the central bank’s balance sheet as per June 30, fell to €5.9bn, which is €0.5bn lower than the month before, the central bank said.
