Man dies after car crash

A 75-year-old man from Limassol, Damianos Roumbas, died on Friday night in hospital after a car accident.

Reports said Roumbas, while driving on the Limassol-Platres road, under unknown circumstances lost control of his car and crashed into a roadside ad board.

He was transferred to Limassol Hospital’s intensive care unit but died a few hours later.

Lania police station is investigating the incident.
