The baby girl was in a car driven by her mother, 32, which slammed into a retaining wall and the guard rails on the Kokkinotrimithia to Nicosia motorway at 6.20pm on Thursday.

She was rushed to Nicosia general hospital where she underwent surgery. The baby was later transferred to Makarios children’s hospital where she died at 2.15am on Friday.
