Tourists hurt in motorbike accident

Two male British tourists aged 19 and 18 were injured early Wednesday morning after the motorbike they were riding collided with an oncoming car in Ayia Napa.

About 12.15am, a 50-year-old man from Paralimni crashed into the bike, driven by the 19-year-old near the Ayia Napa roundabout on the Larnaca highway.

Both youths suffered head injuries and were taken to a private clinic in Paralimni. They had both worn helmets and are not in critical condition.

The driver of the car and motorbike driver both tested zero for alcohol.
