Turkey risks losing shipyard business with embargo in place, shipowners say

The introduction of stricter environmental rules governing scrapping of ships registered in European Union countries may deprive Turkey of a significant part of its this type of business, as its shipyards could fail to get EU approval with the embargo against Cypriot shipping in place, the chairman of the Cyprus Union of Shipowners said.
