British tourist injured

A BRITISH tourist, 30, was being treated in the intensive care unit of Larnaca hospital with chest injuries on Saturday following a collision with a car on the Dhekelia to Larnaca road on Friday evening.

The man who was on a moped driving to Larnaca was apparently cut off by a vehicle, coming from the opposite direction, whose driver tried to make a right turn.

The Briton was rushed to Larnaca hospital where doctors diagnosed serious injuries to his chest.

He was placed on a ventilator in the ICU.

The 26-year-old driver of the car was breathalysed but the test was negative.
