Bank of Cyprus (BoC) and Cypriot champions APOEL have struck a sponsorship deal worth up to €300,000 that covers the Nicosia team’s European fixtures.
APOEL have already qualified for the Europa League group stages and will be playing for a place in the Champions League stages later this month.
If they qualify, BoC will pay the side €300,000 to advertise on the front of their shirts. If APOEL stays in the Europa League group stage, then it will collect €180,000 from BoC.
The deal involves the six games that will be played in either group stage.
APOEL face FC Astana in the Champions League playoff round with the first leg to be played in Kazakhstan on August 18 and the deciding fixture on August 26.
It is understood that Hellenic Bank had also made an offer.
