Russian tourist’s accommodation burgled

A Russian tourist, 36 staying in Pyla, Larnaca reported to police that on Tuesday morning, the place she was staying was broken into and €2,550 in valuables and cash stolen.

Her accommodation on the Larnaca – Dhekelia road was broken into between 9am-11am, she told police.

Some documents, including a Russian driving licence, a laptop worth €700, a tablet worth €500, a handbag worth €50 that contained €1,250 in cash and five bottles of whiskey worth €50 were stolen.

Larnaca police at the scene found the main door had been pried open with a sharp object.
