Turkish Cypriot crews to take part in Cyprus Rally

Around 10 Turkish Cypriot crews will be taking part in the Cyprus Rally this year, reports said on Friday.

According to Halkin Sesi newspaper, 10 Turkish Cypriot racers will take part in the rally, to be held between September 25 and 27.

Five Turkish Cypriot crews took part in last year’s race.

The list of participants has not been finalised yet. Entry deadline is September 4.

The Cyprus Rally will this year continue the tradition of hosting two FIA regional championship rounds, the eighth round of the European Rally Championship as well as the fifth round of the Middle-East Rally Championship.

Crews will race through sixteen stages covering a total distance of around 664 kilometers.

Like last year, the Super Special Stage will be held in the heart of the capital Nicosia, including the north.
