Helping hand for Syrian refugees open one more week for donations

The citizens movement ‘Cypriots Helping Syrian Refugees’, under the auspices of Androulla Vassiliou, announced on Saturday that their drop-off points would be closing at the end of the coming week. Until then, they are open as follows:

Nicosia: Shop 21 lower ground floor, City Plaza, Makarios Avenue. Open Mon – Fri 10.00 – 12.00 and 17.00 – 19.00, and Saturday 10.00 – 17.00. Contact Rosie: 99666011

Larnaca:  53 Ayiou Lazarou St. Open 10.00 -13.00 Tuesday and Thursday, and on Saturday 10.00 – 17.00.  Contact: Louise: 96736838

Limassol: AV Solutions, 30 Spyrou Kyprianou, 4045 Germasogeia. Opposite Carrefour. Open 09.00-18.00 Mon to Fri. Closed on Saturday.

The group said the response from the people of Cyprus had been overwhelming. “We now have more than enough clothes (except for waterproof clothes/raincoats),” it said.

Urgently needed items include back packs, sleeping bags, baby carrying slings/pushchairs,  small tents

shoes/trainers and socks. During the opening hours they also urgently need volunteers to help with packing the donations.
