Lost tourist rescued in Polis

A 43-year-old British tourist had to be rescued on Friday evening after he got lost and trapped in wild bushes in Polis Chrysochous.

Police said the man called the local station at around 8pm telling them he got lost in an unknown area in Polis.

He was located in the Polis river, trapped in brambles and reeds, police said.

The man was freed by the fire service and taken to hospital where he was treated for abrasions to his arms and legs.
