President to visit Palestine

President Nicos Anastasiades is to visit Palestine on November 13, the Cyprus News Agency reported on Sunday.

Anastasiades met Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly where they discussed the Cyprus problem, the Middle East peace process and other regional issues.

Abbas thanked Anastasiades for his initiative to have he and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu address, on separate occasions, the European Council.

The two also agreed that Anastasiades would visit Palestine on November 13.
