Get out and ride

By Maria Gregoriou

For all the parents out there who are tired of having to text their kids to get out of the internet world and join them at the dinner table, here is an event that teenagers can enjoy without even clicking the on button.

Yes, there are still games, parties and sports that can be played and enjoyed in the real world and one such event is the first official Limassol BMX Street Jam on Sunday.

During the street jam local, hosted by Go4it Cyprus, BMX riders will visit some of the best and favourite riding spots across the city. At each spot, riders will perform cool and exciting tricks, with the best trickster at each spot winning prizes and goodies.

Events start at noon and there will be an after party with free drinks and DJs at the Go4IT skate park.

Go4it Cyprus is a professionally designed indoor skate park which gives teenagers – and younger kids – much more than just a place to ride their skateboards. It also arranges for events like break dancing, graffiti activities, rock climbing and much, much more.

The team behind the skate park wants to bring different cultures together so young people can appreciate each other’s differences, and also provide a place where everything is lived in the real world and not behind the screen of a computer or a mobile phone.
