The case of Michalis Paraskevas

Michalis Paraskevas is a Nicosia lawyer who’s been refusing to pay social security as a form of civil disobedience, citing the alleged ‘haircut’ of the Social Insurance Fund – in effect robbing people of some 7.5 billion Euros – on the instructions of the troika.

He called his supporters to a protest outside Parliament on September 24.
