Peyia home burgled

A German woman’s home in Peyia was burgled and jewellery and cash stolen on Friday, police reported on Saturday.
The woman reported to the police that while she had been away from home on Friday, unknown perpetrators entered and removed various items of jewellery, worth €40,000, and €300 in cash.
Policemen from the Peyia station rushed to the scene and established that the burglars entered the home via a balcony door, which they pried open with a sharp object.
Police collected evidence from the scene that could help identify the perpetrators, and continue to investigate.
