Trial date set for TEPAK property irregularities

The trial before the Criminal Court of two defendants in connection with financial irregularities relating to properties used by the Limassol-based University of Technology (TEPAK) will start later this month, it emerged on Monday.
Their trial will start on October 22 and continue on October 23 and 29. Three more hearings will be held in November, 11, 17, and 19.
The pair, Zenon Achillides, 44, head of TEPAK’s property management service, and 51-year-old contractor Giorgos Hadjigeorgiou, have been charged in connection with unauthorised payments, double charges, and other offences.
Between them they face 22 charges including conspiracy to commit felony, forgery, receiving bribes, and abuse of power.
