Some Nicosia roads to be closed on Saturday for evening charity run

The ‘Running under the Moon’ race organised by the Hellenic Bank for charity will take place from 5pm until midnight on Saturday. During this time several roads will be closed in Nicosia.

The public works department of the transport ministry announced on Friday that the following roads would be affected:

Aglandjia Avenue from the Athalassa Environmental Information centre near the University of Cyprus up to the junction with Glafcos Clerides Avenue

University Avenue from its junction with Larnaca Avenue up to the roundabout at the University of Cyprus

During this time traffic towards Aglandjia (Larnaca / Athalassa Avenues) to Latsia / Geri will be channelled through Kyrenia Avenue and Limassol Avenue in the direction of the Nicosia-Limassol motorway

Traffic from Latsia / Geri to the Aglandjia area and the University campus will be directed to Kalamata Avenue and then to Limassol, Aglandjia and Larnaca Avenue

The public works department apologised for the inevitable inconvenience caused and asks the public to comply with the temporary road signs and instructions of police officers.
