Boy in serious condition after car crash

An 11-year-old boy was in intensive care with serious injuries on Wednesday after the car his dad was driving collided with another vehicle in Paphos.

The incident happened at around 4.40pm on Emba Avenue. The 57-year-old father was driving with a female passenger, 43, and his son.

Under circumstances that are still being investigated, he crashed with a vehicle that was driving in the wrong lane.

All three sustained injuries, however, those of the adults were not too serious. The 43-year-old received treatment and was allowed to go.

The 11-year-old boy had a liver contusion and was kept at the ICU, police said.
