Cyclist injured inPaphos

A 31-year-old man was injured on Wednesday afternoon in Paphos after he was hit by a car while riding his bike.

Police reports said that the accident occurred at around 4.50pm at the junction of Ayioi Anargyroi and Sotirakis Markides streets when a car driven by a woman from Britain, who resides permanently in Cyprus, under unknown circumstances, hit the cyclist.

The 31-year-old was transferred to the Paphos general hospital with wounds in his oral cavity.

Paphos traffic police are investigating the accident.
