Young Paphos father facing child abduction charges

Paphos police are investigating the alleged abduction of a 15-month-old child by the 22-year-old father.

According to the Cyprus News Agency, the young man on Saturday night around 10pm went to the home of his ex girlfriend, the child’s mother and took the 15-month-old forcibly from her sister who was babysitting.

Some four hours later, the mother of the 22-year-old went to Paphos police headquarters and handed over the child, around 2am.

CNA said police would either take the young man to court or charge him in writing to be summoned at a later date.
