Registrar to extend deadline for firms to submit accounts

The company registrar said he will extend the deadline for registered companies to submit their audited annual accounts until the end of March 2016 before striking any off.

“There is a large number of companies, around 94,000, which we are in the process of striking off from the registry,” Spyros Kokkinos said in a telephone interview on Friday. These companies have failed to submit their accounts for the years 2003 to 2009, as the law provides.”.
