Paphos municipality to be twinned with Greater Amman

Paphos municipality is to be twinned with the municipality of Greater Amman during the visit this coming week of President Nicos Anastasiades to Jordan.

According to an announcement by the Paphos municipality on Sunday, Mayor Phedonas Phedonos departs for Jordan on Monday with a delegation – around 45 business people – from the Paphos Chamber of Commerce for the ceremony, which is due to take place on Tuesday.

The ceremony will be followed by a business forum aimed at presenting investment opportunities in Paphos. Meetings have been arranged with Jordanian and Cypriot officials to discuss tourism among other topics. Discussions on the possibility of direct flights to Paphos from Amman carried out by Royal Jordanian Airways is also on the cards, according to the announcement.

The Paphos delegation returns to Cyprus on November 12.
