Injured in hit and run

A 26-YEAR-OLD woman from Limassol was injured Tuesday night after she was hit by a car while crossing a street.

Police are looking for the whereabouts of the unidentified car and its driver, as they left the scene right after the accident.

The accident occurred at around 10.25pm when the 26-year-old woman, was hit by the car while she was crossing Ayios Georgios street in Limassol.

The injured woman, who suffered bruises and abrasions all over her body, was transferred to the Limassol general hospital where she was admitted for treatment.

Police are urging any member of the public who may have witnessed the accident to contact the Limassol traffic police, or the nearest police station or call the citizen hotline at 1460.
