Cabinet holds one-minute’s silence for victims of Paris attacks

The cabinet on Tuesday held a one-minute’s silence for the victims of the Paris terrorist attacks last Friday.

President Nicos Anastasiadee, at the beginning of the session said: “We are all witnesses to the events in France. Terrorist attacks and extremist elements undermine democracy, undermine stability and in general create human tragedies and worse for immigrants, but also for the countries that receive them.”

Anastasiades said he had sent a letter of condolences to the French president and would on Wednesday sign the condolence book at the residence of the French Ambassador in Nicosia.
