Georgiades rules out running for president or parliament

By Stelios Orphanides

Finance minister Harris Georgiades said that he has no ambition of running for president or a seat in parliament after helping Cyprus complete its adjustment programme and restoring market access.

Georgiades, appointed in April 2013 by president Anastasiades as head of the finance ministry, days after Cyprus agreed the terms of its bailout, which included losses for depositors at Bank of Cyprus and Cyprus Popular Bank, was responding to a question to an interview to the Cyprus Business Mail.
