Ackermann and BOC board members in share buying spree

Members of the board of Bank of Cyprus, including chairman Josef Ackermann, bought in the past few days packages of the lender’s outstanding shares, the bank said.

On Thursday, Ackermann, the Swiss banker who served as Deutsche Bank’s chief executive officer in the past, bought 1.5 million Bank of Cyprus shares at a price of €016582 each, the bank said on Friday in a statement on the stock exchange website.
