Search still on for elderly missing man

Pavlos Charalambous

There was no sign of a missing 92-year-old man on Monday despite a large-scale search in the Paphos countryside.

Pavlos Charalambous from the village of Praitori left home for church on Saturday afternoon but never returned.
A large operation to find the man stopped as darkness fell and was expected to restart on Tuesday morning.
According to police, Charalambous told his carer at around 3pm that he was going to church but no one has seen him since.

Charalambous is 1.75 metres tall, frail, and suffers from memory loss.
Police urge anyone who may have seen him to contact their nearest police station or call the citizen’s line 1460.
