Oil fire damages Dali grill house

A grill house in Dali, Larnaca was damaged on Saturday morning after oil from the frying machine went up in flames.

Incurring up to €15,000 worth of damage, three fire trucks were at the “Psitopolio tis Gitonias” (neighbourhood grill) at Odysseos Street, Ilioupolis, after they received a call at around 9:10am.

By 9:40am, the flames were under control and were caused after the cooking oil in the fryer overheated.

By Saturday morning, the fire services responded to 43 calls for help, 27 fires, 15 special requests and one false alarm in a span of 24 hours.
