Card holder transactions rise 13% in January, JCC says

The use of plastic money by Cypriots in November rose an annual 13 per cent to €203.4m at home and 9 per cent to €106.9m abroad, JCC Ltd, the transactions-processing joint venture of Cypriot banks said.

Tourists used their credit and debit cards in November for purchases worth €42.4m, which is 6 per cent more compared to a year before, JCC said in an emailed statement on Wednesday.
