Paphos arrest after nightspot trashed

A 27-year-old resident of Paphos was arrested on Sunday in connection with assault, threats and causing malicious damage at a nightspot in Kouklia, police said.

According to police, the owner of the premises complained to police that a drunken man entered the establishment at 3am and was thrown out.

However the man returned soon after with five other people and allegedly attacked the owner and smashed up the place, causing extensive damage before fleeing.
Investigations by police led them to the 27-year-old from Timi for whom an arrest warrant was issued.
