Motorcycle museum damaged by fire

A fire at the motorcycle museum in Nicosia’s old city on Saturday caused damage exceeding €5,000, the fire department said.

Three fire trucks from Paphos Gate and Kaimakli stations responded to the call around midday that a fire had broken out at the museum on Granikou Street. The blaze was brought under control in around an hour. Most of the damage appeared to be in an office area.

The cause of the fire is being investigated though a statement said an electrical fault could not be excluded.
