Man arrested after ecstasy and cannabis resin finds

A 26-year-old was arrested in the early hours of Sunday after police said they found seven ecstasy pills in his car and 81.5 grammes of cannabis resin at his home during a subsequent search.

He is facing charges of possession and intent to supply. The arrest was made around 12.45am during a routine traffic stop by police from Kakopetria and Evrichou. The suspect is from a village in the Nicosia district, police said, without naming it.

Officers found the ecstasy pills in his car and the cannabis resin in his home.
