One arrested, one being sought for Oroklini beating (Updated)

Police arrested a 20-year-old man on Tuesday in connection to the beating of a 23-year-old Oroklini resident.

The victim is in intensive care at Larnaca general hospital with multiple skull and facial fractures after he was beaten up on Monday afternoon.

The injured man, Alexis Pangratis, was found sprawled on the ground outside a bakery in Oroklini at around 5.30pm on Monday. Police and an ambulance were immediately notified.

The victim was transferred to the emergency department of Larnaca General Hospital where it was found that he had multiple fractures to the head and face. He remains in intensive care.

During police investigations evidence emerged against two men, siblings aged 20 and 19 who are also from Oroklini.

Although the elder brother was arrested, police are still on the hunt for the youngest.
