Leaders to attend lunch

Dujarric pointed out yet again that “the settlement in Cyprus is one that is up to the parties.

President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci will attend a lunch on Wednesday hosted by the Greek and Turkish Forum.

The lunch will take place at 1pm at a restaurant in the buffer zone close to the Ledra Palace hotel.

The two leaders will be meeting again on Thursday as part of talks to reunify the island.

Following their last meeting last Thursday, Anastasiades said they had reviewed the course of settlement talks in a bid to focus on outstanding issues and establish whether more convergences could be reached.

The two side’s negotiators, Andreas Mavroyiannis and Ozdil Nami, will meet on Friday.
