Thieves beat and rob 80-year-old

Thieves beat an 80-year-old man and stole €1,700 worth of jewellery from his home in Limassol in the early morning hours of Wednesday.

The man woke up after hearing noise in his home in the Omonia area but while trying to get out of bed he was hit in the head. After he was hit, he saw two or three individuals leaving the house.

He was taken to hospital where he was treated for blunt force trauma to the head and released.

The case is being investigated by Limassol CID.
