Movie about Erdogan’s life to be filmed in occupied Trikomo

Turkish daily Hurriyet newspaper on Thursday reported that construction was taking place in an area of  occupied Trikomo in the north of the island to prepare a set for filming a movie on the life of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to the paper, the filming for the movie ‘Reis’ (Leader) will start on January 22 in the Trikomo area  which is being transformed for the movie into 1950s ‘Kasimpasa’, the neighborhood located in Istanbul where Erdogan spent his childhood.

Speaking to the paper, ‘Reis’ director Ali Avci said the Cyprus climate was ideal for filming and added that the movie would help towards attracting tourism in the breakaway regime.
