Eight-day remand for man caught in possession of 2,000 child pornography files

A British man was remanded by the Limassol district court for eight days on Sunday on suspicion of trafficking in child pornography and of being part of an international ring of sexual predators.

The 44-year-old man lived alone in Limassol, the court heard. During his arrest following a request from Interpol, police said they found 2,000 child pornography files on three laptops, two external hard drives and 36 compact disks, which were seized.

The case is being described as one of the most serious-ever related to child pornography in Cyprus.
