Shot fired against horse racing official

A shot was fired at a 40-year-old while he was driving his car in Nicosia, police said on Monday.

The man, a judge at the Nicosia Race Club, was not injured. The incident happened at around 8pm on Sunday.

The shot smashed the window of the right rear door, police said.

Police said they have recovered a bullet and a shell casing.
