On Thursday, at 12.15pm local time President NIcos Anastasiades will host a forum at Davos on ‘Reuniting Cyprus’ with Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci and UN Special Adviser Espen Barth Eide.
The invitation to delegates at the World Economic Forum at the Swiss resort says: “Cyprus, at the intersection between Europe and the Middle East, has been divided for over a generation. Ongoing negotiations between the Greek Cypriot and the Turkish Cypriot community have spurred new hope. A united Cyprus could stand out as a symbol of peace and cooperation in a fragmenting world. This could also represent a significant economic opportunity. Join us for a special session on the future of Cyprus.”
