Two masked men armed with a gun stole € 830 from a kiosk in Aradippou on Wednesday evening, slightly injuring the owner in the process.

According to police, two masked men entered the kiosk ‘Trachoni’, located on the road from Aradippou to Livadia, at around 10.15pm.

Holding a gun, they threatened the 66-year-old owner and demanded the money.

Initially, the 66-year-old assumed that the gun was fake and tried to fight with one of the attackers but the man threw him to the ground injuring him slightly.

After that, the two assailants took an envelope containing €830 from the cash register and fled the scene.

The 66-year-old was taken to Larnaca General hospital where he received first aid and was released.

The kiosk has no security cameras and the owner was unable to give a description of the robbers.
