Young Cypriot makes Forbes list

A young Cypriot has made it to Forbes 30 under 30 list in Consumer Tech for the first time.

Alexis Loizou, 28 found himself on the prestigious list as the Cofounder and CTO of Trouva, an e-commerce firm also known as StreetHub.

Upon hearing the news, he tweeted “great way to start 2016 😉 Honoured to be selected in #forbes30under30 consumer tech!”

Loizou and his friends started Trouva in 2013 while going through London’s Entrepreneur First accelerator.

It aims, according to Forbes to help “independent fashion retailers find online buyers and drive them to physical stores. The company has since moved more into direct retail, selling hand-picked items from independent boutiques in (for now) only the U.K”

So far, Trouva has raised $3.8 million from Octopus Ventures, Index Ventures, Playfair Capital and various angels.

Loizou graduated from the University of Cologne and the London School of Economics.
