Roads to Troodos closed to all vehicles

Due to weather conditions police said on Sunday that all roads to Troodos (Karvounas – Troodos, Platres-Troodos, Prodromos-Troodos), were closed to all vehicles, because of continued snowfall.

Other closed roads are:

· Pedoulas – Pinewood – Kakopetria
· Pedoulas – Lemythou
· Prodromos – Platres

Also, due to snowfall open only to four-wheel drive and vehicles with snow chains are:

· Palaichori – Agros
· Palaichori – Aska – Fterikoudi
· Fterikoudi – Alonas – Platanistasas
· Platanistasas – Kato Moni
· Alonas – Polystypos
· Polystypos – Chandria
· Polystypos – Lagoudera – Saranti
· Lagoudera – Xyliatos
· Sconce – Palaichori
· Palaichori – Farmakas

Limassol
· Palaichori – Agros
· Agros – Kyperounta – Karvounas
· Kalo Chorio – Agros
· Omodos – Mandria – Platres
· Moniatis – Platres
· Pera Pedi – Mandria – Platres
· Sykopetra – Prophiti Elias
· Saittas – Potamos
Morphou
· Sina Oras – Kakopetria – Karvounas
· Pedoulas – Kykkos

Police said there was also dense fog in some areas of Troodos and drivers in the region are advised to be especially careful, driving at low speeds, maintaining a safe distance from vehicles ahead and keeping on their headlights if necessary.
It also invited those who intend to travel in mountainous and hilly areas, to keep up with police notifications for their own benefit.
