Suspected arson attack at Limassol school

Initial investigations indicated that arson was the source of a fire which caused damage of around €10,000 at a primary school in Limassol on Tuesday afternoon.

The fire at the Ayios Nicolaos primary school was reported to the fire services at around 6.30pm.

Fire services brought the fire – in the design and technology classroom – under control by 8.45pm.

The blaze destroyed office equipment, electrical installations and the air conditioning units in the classroom.
