Remand for sexual harassment

Two foreign nationals were remanded for six days on Saturday in connection with sexually harassing an 18-year-old girl in Limassol who faces cognitive problems.

Although they deny any involvement in the case, police believe the suspects approached the girl offering her chocolates and cigarettes and would come into physical contact with her in public spaces.

Initially, a 37-year-old man was arrested on Friday but after he named another man of the same age, he too was also arrested.

The young girl and her family are monitored by the welfare department.

Limassol district court ordered the remand to grant police more time to investigate.
